When Ukelele transforms into a slide instrument out births Anandi.
After Debashih spent years developing and playing on Chaturangui, he became inspired and compelled to create another instrument that offered a lighter more playful and innocent as well as an exotic sound. He designed and created Anandi to play Indian ragas and music but many musicians have discovered this instrument has a wide array of stays ranging from blues to folk to European classical to Indian to Asian to contemporary and traditional music.
The name Anandi means "Eternal Joy" and in this case for this instrument Debashish intended for it to carry through as the "Eternal Joy of Music."
